MFM striker Adekunle in buoyant mood ahead Abia Warriors clash

Mountain of Fire and Miracles Ministries FC forward, Adegboyega Adekunle believes his side will be victorious in Wednesday's Nigeria Professional Football League (NPFL) game against Abia Warriors.

The Olukoya Boys play hosts to the Abia-based team in one of nine Matchday 16 fixtures scheduled to take place at the Agege Township Stadium which fans of MFM FC have rechristened Soccer Temple.

MFM FC who have not tasted defeat at home this season narrowly lost their last league match away from home to Gombe United on Sunday courtesy of a 54th minute strike from Sadiq Shuaibu.

Adekunle said his team are prepared to challenge Abia Warriors for the three points stating the importance of the maximum points at stake.

"I think we are prepared for the game tomorrow against Abia Warriors. It is a game we must win with a good number of goals and I believe we will make our fans proud at the end of the game.

"Abia Warriors have been in fine form in the league, they defeated Kano Pillars 3-0 in their last league match so they are coming into this game with a lot of confidence.

"We are not happy with the result of our last league match where we lost 1-0. This game is very important to us, the maximum points will take us back to the league summit (if Plateau United lose at Rivers United) and we have to do all we can to get it," he told the club's website,

MFM FC are in second position on the 20-team table with 27 points after 15 matchdays. A win against the Ochendu Boys will take the Lagos-based outfit back to the top of the log depending on the outcome of results elsewhere.
